What is this?

Built Stuff is a bi-weekly newsletter about the intersection of technology, economics, and the built environment. Each issue will focus on a relevant topic in-depth (~500 words or so) and also highlight any cool finds from around the internet in that time. Topics will largely draw from my career as a product manager in various startups related to the building industry, my architectural background and training, and the highs and lows of being a life-long New Yorker and city-dweller. If you’re interested in architecture, design, real estate, urban planning, or construction, there may be something for you here.

Who am I?

Hi! I'm Will.

I'm a teacher-turned-architectural designer-turned-product manager. I have pretty wide ranging interests but in particular I’m passionate about the intersection of technology, business & economics, and the building industry.

I’m also a big sports fan and a math nerd. In my spare time I read (mostly non-fiction), build small apps, and play volleyball.

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and went to school in New Haven, CT, so I'm a huge pizza snob.
